What our past clients have said about our tutoring services

“I’ve known Darlene for a while, and have always been impressed and awed with her work – I loved the look, the feel, the colors and the emotions that were portrayed in her amazing photography.  As a newbie in the world of Photography, I was pleased with results I was getting, but still felt that there was something more I could be doing to take my art to a new level.  I was fortunate to spend some time with Darlene where she took me from one end of the spectrum – from technical information about my camera, explaining different techniques, theories and practices with me – to shooting, scouting, post production, touch ups and software tips and tricks.  In our one-on-one tutoring session we worked together through some of my photographs. The knowledge and skill that Darlene was able to teach me – took my art to a completely different level.   Knowing that I took the picture, processed it through – I am amazed at the results, and stunned that my art is looking as amazing as it is.” Zepporoh H.

Q: How knowledgeable was Darlene on photography skills and techniques?
A: Darlene was extremely knowledgeable with skills and techniques. She was able to teach, and explain the different aspects, and when I wasn’t fully grasping the concept of discussion, Darlene was amazing at changing the perspective and explanation so that I was able to understand.
Q: Were things explained in a manner that you could easily understand?
A: Very much so. Darlene was able to explain things to me so that I was able to catch on. The pace of the one-on-one session was perfect. It wasn’t rushed, and when I need more time, or more instruction, Darlene was very patient and understood that I needed to understand more.

Q: Were your expectations met or exceeded?

A: We had joked by the end of the session that my mind was blown. When the session began, I knew I wanted to know everything I could about the different aspects of HDR photography, and when the session ended, I was so amazed at the simplicity that took my photographs from one level to a higher level.
After the session, and after I was able to digest and fully understand and put into practice what Darlene taught me, she continued to give me helpful tips, tricks.
Q: Would you recommend Darlene to someone else wanting photography tutoring? If so, why?
Absolutely!! The value that I felt I received from Darlene, the knowledge, skill and techniques – I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. I’ve looked for courses, seminars – anything that would help – and I was able to get far more from Darlene, then I was able to get anywhere else I’ve looked. Not only did I learn a lot, but when I left I was filled with excitement – knowing that I now had some tools that would take my art higher. I am still awed when I’ve finished my photographs, never thinking – that I was able to produce something that looked that amazing and finished. I highly recommend Darlene for photography tutoring in Edmonton, and will most definitely be back!
